Two world-class companies from Japan, Toyota and Suzuki, is currently forming partnerships. Both sides announced that they will work together in developing technologies for environmental, safety and information networking.
Although they will still compete outside of the field, but Toyota Motor Corp. and Suzuki Motor Corp. hoping that other automaker companies will join to raise standards in the area. Toyota President, Akio Toyoda said that survival depends on this collaboration, and one company alone would not be able to do his own research. He said, "It is very important now to have partners who share the same goal and passion."
“As the environment which surrounds the automobile industry has been changing drastically, we need to have the ability to respond to changes in order to survive. We would like to always keep doors open for new partnership opportunities, which will contribute to the making of ever-better cars as well as to the development of the automotive industry.” said president of Toyota.
