Vatican: Ashes of the Dead Should Be Kept in "Holy Place"

Now, a Catholic ash should no longer be kept in the house, scattered or shared with family members. The Vatican has issued new guidelines that say the ashes of the dead must be stored in a "holy place" like a cemetery. It is clear that the Roman Catholic Church prefer cremation rather than burials. The Vatican has indeed been allowed cremation since 1963, but never really blessing it.

The new rules have already received the approval of Pope Francis.
