Federal Bureau of Investigation United States (US), the FBI has published documents related to the investigation of personal e-mail server usage by US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during her tenure as foreign minister. The previous information that had been given to the US Senate last month was opened to the public under the Freedom of Information Act on Friday, September 2nd.
"Today the FBI released a summary of an interview of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with the FBI on July 2, 2016 related to allegations that confidential information stored incorrectly or personal e-mail sent to the server during his tenure. We also publish a summary of the factual investigation of the FBI on this issue. We also are releasing a factual summary of the FBI's investigation into this matter." the agency said in a statement.
"This report recounts the information collected in this investigation. It is not intended to address potential inconsistencies in, or the validity of, the information related herein.” the FBI said in the first of two documents.
There are two documents released by FBI related to this investigation, the first is as thick as 47 pages, a summary of the investigation requested by the Inspector General of the US Intelligence Community. While the second is 11 pages document contains summaries of interviews with Hillary that began in July.
The FBI has set 81 series of Hillary's email contains confidential information when sent between 2009 through 2013, and 68 others remain confidential. However, investigators found no evidence to confirm that Hillary email account or mobile device belonging to the former first lady has been compromised through cyber networks.
The report lists the limitations of the investigation that makes the FBI can not determine whether the information held by Hillary has been leaked or not due to lack of computer components and devices belonging to Hillary obtained by investigators.
