Creator / writer / star Donald Glover announced the latest series of FX in accordance with the title "Atlanta", tells the story of the entire Atlanta. Another series of the same type as "Dallas" and "Nashville" has also been created, but the core story is more focused on one theme. "Atlanta" is meant to be a TV series that can convey a lot of things without focusing on one particular thing only. Donald plays Earnest "Earn" Marks, a bankrupt credit part time card salesman and trying to start a new career as a manager in the music of his cousin on the rise, Alfred (Brian Tyree Henry).
Taking a set of local hip-hop world and the chaos of family life, the series tells the feelings and economy lives of Earn with his cousin, who is tend to engage in criminal matters such as shootings and drug dealer. Director Hiro Murai also praised the powerful writing with precise execution of this series.
Tim Goodman of The Hollywood Reporter congratulated Glover and director Hiro Murai for their honest depiction of real life:
"What makes it all work is that the aforementioned vibe, that sense that permeates the show of Glover painting a very particular slice of life, in a story that exists only to tell that story honestly and at a pace that seems real, not manufactured for a TV series."
